Habitat in Action
Putnam County Habitat for Humanity always has something going on - with homes, families, resources, or volunteers. Check out the latest visuals from our people.
How Habitat Works
Putnam County Habitat for Humanity builds simple, decent homes. Volunteer builders, contributed supplies, and zero interest loans keep the homes affordable for God's people in need.
Habitat House
Become a Homeowner
Putnam County Habitat for Humanity partners with families not only to build a house, but also to create a home. Partner families are selected on the basis of their current housing status, their ability to pay for their home, and their willingness to invest "sweat equity." For up to a year, they participate with other families to develop their home ownership skills.
How You Can Help
Putnam County Habitat for Humanity relies on the support of churches, businesses, industries, community organizations and individuals to provide affordable housing. Contributions are monetary or in-kind support. In addition, many fundraising events are held each year.
Habitat Fundraising
Become a Volunteer
Putnam County Habitat for Humanity relies on the involvement of volunteers to select families, support families, build homes, obtain resources, and administer the affiliate. Many opportunities exist for volunteers, ranging from a one-day commitment to life-long involvement.
