Lori Benassi Family Lori works in Food Services at Cookeville Regional Medical Center and enjoys visiting the elderly and doing activities with her children. She is a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Algood. Michael is 8 years old and attends Capshaw Elementary. He is a cub scout and likes to play Vision Basketball. He likes to help other kids and loves animals and ice cream. Christopher is 10 years old and attends Prescott Central Middle School. He likes to read and write stories. He plays Vision Basketball and is a fast runner. He too is a cub scout and loves to help other people.

Build Location: 362 Second Avenue North in the heart of Algood.

Directions to job site:
Drive on into Algood and stay on West Main Street—which requires a sharp right turn after the Shell Station. Second Avenue North is located past the Post Office and Advanced Cleaning. Turn left and proceed. At the fork stay right, on Second Avenue. This is a narrow road and quiet neighborhood — please drive slowly!! The Habitat property is on the right at the end of the road and the Bankers Build house is the 2nd site. To save space, consider carpooling! Note: We have permission for our volunteers to park in the Trinity Assembly parking lot, the Rogers Group parking lot, and the Iglesia De Jesucristo church parking lot, which are located at the corner of 2nd Avenue North & Washington (just 0.5 miles from the jobsite).

Bankers Build Concept

What do you get when you get local bankers together in the heart of Algood? How about a new affordable three bedroom home for Lori Benassi and her two sons? Twelve banks are combining their efforts to fund and build the first Putnam County Habitat for Humanity home for 2007. This unique partnership – BANKERS BUILD – is the first of it’s type for us and we’re looking forward to working with the banks’ employees this spring!

Construction is set to start March 24th and will run thru June on the North 2nd Avenue property in Algood. At this time, there are enough bank employees’ to fill up the volunteer openings on this build. We are always in need of qualified volunteer crew leaders. Anyone interested in serving a few Saturdays in that position, should call Amy Guidry in our office at 528-1711
