Bank of Putnam County Helping Habitat Build in Monterey

(8/20/05) Elizabeth Ray Fournet of Bank of Putnam County recently announced a matching gift program to support the current Habitat for Humanity project in Monterey. Over the next few weeks, the bank will match the donations made that are designated to the Monterey home. The Monterey project, which is currently under construction, will be the home of Christy Garrett and her two children. This matching gift program will allow donors to have their gifts make a “double” impact for this home. “Bank of Putnam County is happy to support Habitat for Humanity in our hometown. Bank of Putnam County was opened in Monterey in 1901. Since our founding we have made it part of our mission to support valuable projects such as this one benefiting the communities where we live and work” says Fournet.

Donation forms are available at the Monterey Branch of Bank of Putnam County or on this website Other supporters of the project have included Trinity Assembly and Monterey Hardware. Volunteers are also needed to help with this project. This is the second Habitat home in Monterey.
