Putnam County Habitat for
Humanity Announces
New Partnership
with Heritage Ford

Putnam County Habitat for Humanity has a new partner in building homes – the local Ford Dealership, Heritage Ford! Beginning immediately, Heritage Ford is making contributions with each vehicle sold to fund the building of a Habitat home this year.

Jaime Vargara, president of Heritage Ford, said "We are honored to have this opportunity to give back to the community which has been so supportive of us. Habitat for Humanity is really about helping others who are willing to help themselves and just need a hand-up. We are really excited to be a partner in this program".

Habitat for Humanity provides the opportunity for affordable home ownership. Funding to build the homes comes from the no-interest mortgages that current Habitat homeowners pay monthly and from support of the community. House Sponsors in the past nine years have included area churches, a local manufacturer, a construction company, and a civic group. This is the first sponsorship from the auto or retail industry.

"We're excited to welcome the Heritage Ford family to the list of covenant partners for Putnam County Habitat for Humanity" says Randal Petrie, PCHFH Board President.

"Our program is more than building houses, it's about building our community and this new partnership is a great example of just that I'm looking forward to the build and seeing how this affects the employees of Heritage Ford when they realize that they are truly helping Habitat change the life of a family!" continued Petrie.

Customers of Heritage Ford are encouraged to drop by to learn more about the partnership with Habitat and even offer to help by providing financial gifts or their time. Construction will begin in the late summer.

"Our employees are looking forward to working on the construction of this first home and we would love to ask our friends in the community to come out on the build site and join us" says Vargara.
