UHS Building Trades Students Help
Habitat
(4/27/07) Upperman High School’s
Building Trades Teacher Jason Holcomb recently brought out
some of his students to help Putnam County Habitat for
Humanity prepare for the move into their new facility. In
addition to cleaning floors and tearing a wall down, the
students built display racks for the Habitat ReStore. The
Contractor Yard donated the lumber and the students built
door racks, sink racks, and a lighting display for the new
home of the Habitat ReStore Pictured in front of some of the
door racks and sink racks are students –

Girl Scouts Help
Habitat
(3/10/07) More than 50 area Girl Scouts helped out at the
offices and ReStore of Putnam County Habitat for Humanity
recently in conjunction with the 95th Anniversary of Girl
Scouts. Girl Scouts from throughout the Cumberland Valley GS
Council participated in numerous service projects
simultaneously. Habitat was fortunate to have the Scouts
assist in cleaning the property, working in the ReStore,
writing Thank You cards, and much much more! Though most of
the Scouts were too young to work on a construction site,
their support through all the projects they did still made
an impact in Habitat’s work of Building Houses and Building
Hope!
