Neighbor 2 Neighbor is a repair program of Putnam County Habitat for Humanity. This program is for residents of Putnam and Overton counties who need repairs done to a home that they currently own and live in. The focus is on lower income residents, age 55 and above, requiring affordable home repair projects - such as addition of wheelchair ramps, making homes safe and more accessible, and weatherization projects.
Habitat for Humanity has been in Putnam County since 1995. They have repaired homes by improving weatherization, replacing rotted flooring, building wheelchair ramps, and making other improvements needed to make staying in the home possible. Habitat has a long history of mobilizing volunteers and donors to meet the needs of the community. Using the strength of the local community (churches, businesses, and individuals), Habitat is able to provide repair solutions that meet the needs of low-income homeowners. Your donation makes this program possible. A gift of $25 dollars allows Habitat to purchase a roll of attic insulation, $50 buys a new interior door, $100 buys new insulated window and $200 will buy a new exterior door. Be a part of helping families stay in their home. Give online or visit Amazon and choose a gift from our Wish List. |
Special thanks to the Bonnie R. Bashford Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee for the generous grant of $5,000 to support repair work for the elderly in Overton County.
