Volunteer : Youth Engagement

"I'm too young to pick up a hammer, but I want to help someone get a home"

Not true! By growing flowers for our Habitat homes and neighborhoods, you are committing to changing lives one seed at a time. Habitat for Humanity is currently building homes in over 100 countries around the world. Every 15 minutes a Habitat home is completed somewhere around the world. Children can now be a part of our Habitat family of volunteers!

Seeds of Hope is a youth engagement project that starts right before Spring. Inexpensive bags packed with everything you need to grow flowers can be purchased from Putnam County Habitat for Humanity. The bags are taken home where children can experience the joy of watching the seeds grow into flowers. Children, along with an adult, get to plant their flowers at a real Habitat home on plant day!
